Description
This fixture is a faithful reproduction of the lanterns designed by Charles and Henry Greene for the Gamble House inglenook.
The Greene’s California interpretation of Japanese design shines through in the gentle lifts of the roof and the naturalistic asymmetry of the designs in the hand-mixed glass.
The original hangs from a beam supported by leather straps. We’ve created a coordinating ceiling plate—no beam required.
Accented with handcrafted ebony pegs. Suspended from double-layered, stitched and dyed leather straps.

Assembly
Most fixtures arrive assembled. Some fixtures require a minimal amount of assembly upon arrival.
Installation is easy for the DIYer, handyman or electrician with a standard set of screwdrivers. Larger items may need a couple pairs of hands during installation. If you’re unsure about properly connecting electrical components we recommend you hire a professional to install. Large fixtures mounted to the ceiling may require the customer to supply mounting hardware (like toggle bolts, wood screws and anchors).

Care
Dust lightly with a soft cloth. Use very light pressure when dusting stained glass panels. If glass shades need extra care, detach them and wash in warm, soapy water. Avoid abrasive cloths and cleaning solutions that contain ammonia.

The Wentworth Avenue Collection
Greene & Greene Design—and Beyond
Two brothers, Charles and Henry Greene, opened an architecture firm in Southern California just after the turn of the 20th century. At the height of their prowess in the Arts & Crafts movement, the homes they designed spread across the country in simpler form as the humble bungalow.
Old California has painstakingly recreated some of the Greene brothers’ most iconic lighting pieces from their ‘ultimate bungalows,’ and we developed our own designs based on our favorites, also.
The Wentworth Avenue collection gathers them into our flagship series—only our most experienced craftspeople have what it takes to create these triumphs of historic design.
