For History-Minded Groups: A Field Trip That Plans Itself
Planning something your members will actually turn out for isn't always easy. We've hosted groups like the Art Deco Society of Los Angeles, the Old Towne Preservation Association, and California Preservation Foundation's Doors Open event.
Watching solid brass lighting and hardware take shape from raw material to finished piece is the kind of thing people remember and talk about afterward.
But you don't have to stop there. We're five minutes from Old Towne Orange, the largest historic district in California, a one-square-mile neighborhood of original vintage architecture with antique shops, boutiques, and restaurants built right into it. Pair your visit with lunch or an afternoon exploring the Circle, and you've got a full outing, not just a stop.
