Arroyo Seco

As the Arts & Crafts movement left England in the late 19th century, its proponents' emphasis on handmade work branched into different styles around the world. Perhaps the most lasting and distinct style grew out of the Arroyo Seco region in Pasadena, California. This California Craftsman look may have started in the Arroyo, but its restrained, linear structures spread around the country as bungalows and established the look as a timeless American classic.
