Message from the Artist: The Arts & Crafts Movement has always lifted the four seasons in celebration. I wanted to have my own version of this popular motif in my artistic body of work.
I wanted to show the same tree in each of these seasons tied to a short mantra. We can find lessons in the changes brought by our seasons in our everyday life.
Harvey Ellis, a talented young graphic designer and painter in the employ of Gustav Stickley, designed many of the beautiful inlays that Stickley used in his furniture. The design in the middle is a nod to his work.
Note: Frames are handcrafted, there may be minor variations in their outside dimensions.
