Carl Radke

Carl Radke began showing his glass work in galleries in 1975 as part of a group of artists determined to revive the American art glass movement that was made popular by Louis Tiffany in the late 19th century. By the mid-1920s the technique was almost lost. Radke maintains the practice of working with luster glass, a medium containing silver that requires honed craftsmanship to successfully navigate the particularly volatile blowing process compared to standard art glass—this work cannot be mass produced. Each piece is signed and dated by the artist to ensure authenticity and retain value.
