Cobblestone grew out of a study in contrast. Where most lighting hides its construction, Cobblestone puts it on display, showcasing every joint and rivet as part of the design rather than something to disguise.
The series draws on the highlighted joinery common in Japanese architecture, where structure and ornament aren't separate ideas. Delicate filigree overlays, from dragonflies to Monterey pines, soften that ruggedness without ever competing with it.
Where This Belongs
Cobblestone's visible joinery and rivets read best against homes with real structural texture already present: exposed rafter tails, timber porch supports, stone or river-rock accents, board-and-batten siding. The fixture's honesty about its own construction pairs naturally with a home that shows its own. Log cabins, mountain ranches or true American Rustic homes as well as Craftsman ones.
Where Cobblestone can feel out of place: a home with minimal exterior woodwork or a smooth, unornamented facade. The whole point of this series is celebrating visible structure, and a fixture built around that idea needs some structure nearby to relate to.
