I love this lamp. It is perfect for our house and creates a warm light which makes our living room and library very cozy. The quality of the materials makes me know we will have this lamp forever. We've received so many compliments from our mail and package carriers about how much they like our new mailbox. We purchased the architectural bronze finish and it matches wonderfully with our door hardware and patio light. The construction is sturdy, and the lid has nice weight to it. It opens easily, and shuts gently. A smidge of water has gotten into the bottom of the mailbox after a bad rain storm, but nothing crazy and it hasn't affected our letters at all. Our mailbox is not under any protective awning or roofing which I think might help, but again, it doesn't bother us. It's large enough to handle small packages which we like. All around a fantastic purchase and we are quite pleased.

I had known about Old California from the circles of the Arts & Crafts community and publications and was waiting for the right project in the renovation of our 1921 Craftsman Bungalow in which to incorporate one of their light fixtures. The bar area adjacent to our new kitchen begged for a unique and unmistakably A&C fixture. The Arden Four Light Ceiling Fixture was a no-brainer for me.
It looks fabulous and illuminates perfectly. The handmade glass shades are gorgeous. The metal, finish and manufacture are top quality. I was impressed and appreciative of the design/customer service attention my small project received. I felt that they really cared about my satisfaction with the finished fixture. This room is not finished yet, but I'm sharing a photo regardless. :)

I’ve been a fan of Old California Lighting for years. We bought a porch light and mailbox from them that we love, so when it came time to add landscape lighting, we knew where to start. I wasn’t sure which finish to choose, so I called to ask for advice—and I’m so glad I did. I didn’t realize that the Old Penny finish naturally patinas to a dark brown, similar to the New Verde.
When the fixtures first arrived, they were a bright brass (just as described), which made me a little nervous. But the team had assured me they would weather beautifully within a few months. In fact, they developed a gorgeous patina in just a few weeks—even though we live inland.
The lights are perfect, the quality is outstanding, and I couldn’t be happier with the result.

I am restoring my childhood playhouse, a 1924 log cabin. The original exterior light disappeared about 30 years ago. I ordered the small, curved arm mount Huntington with the New Verde finish and gold iridescent glass. It’s absolutely perfect! Just check out the pics. The craftsmanship is top quality. I absolutely love it. I still have a long way to go with the restoration work on my playhouse, but this lantern makes me so happy every time I see it. I sometimes go out there at night and turn on the light just to enjoy it. ♥️

For years, the Carnegie library in Ripley, Ohio had wanted to change the exterior lighting fixtures—the last “upgrade” was in the early 1990s with white 16" globes on a stick. We looked at many off the shelf styles as well as some fine artisan crafted lights, but nothing seemed to be at the scale or the design that would work. One of our board members found the website for Old California, and we got excited—the column lights really looked elegant and possible.
[They] custom designed the fixtures, picking up a pattern from the original leaded glass...(how cool is that!). Now the Union Township design is available to everyone. Working with the Old California team was delightful and inspiring. Now the lighting that we never had before looks ‘original’ and beautiful, befitting our charming 1915 library. Column lights, wall lights and pole lights all beautifully grace our building and our town. Thanks again Old California!
