This design is inspired by the shapes and patterns used in the wall art from the 1950s. We fabricated all of the parts out of solid brass and aluminum. The large atomic stars are machined out of 1/2" thick solid aluminum blocks and the atoms and satellite details use solid brass balls in various diameters. The 4 built-in LEDs are dimmable and feature baffles over the LED lenses to focus the light downward. The brushed copper details are created with copper plating over the brass parts.
